Stamford Arts Centre Meditation Classes – Thursdays 1-2pm

These meditation classes are suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience of meditation. They are taught by our Resident Teacher Kelsang Rak-ma They give a practical introduction to meditation and include topics such as the benefits of meditation, mindfulness, good posture, types of meditation, and how to start a daily meditation practice. Advice is also given on how to remain peaceful in daily life by applying the meditation techniques explained in these classes.

Discover the power of meditation and mindfulness. Learn how reduce depression, anxiety, worry, stress and tension. And how to increase self-esteem, confidence, and inner good qualities. Meditation and mindfulness helps us to relax, find inner peace and be happier. Mental and physical well-being is improved as well as gaining a more positive outlook on life and better relationships.

Mindfulness in Daily Life

In these classes, we will learn the basics of Buddhist meditation techniques and discover how we can develop a positive influence over our daily experiences, both in and out of meditation.

Handed down over 2500 years, the techniques of Buddhist meditation are perfectly suited to the modern world. In these classes we will look at how we can apply this ancient wisdom in order to bring peace, strength and joy into our life and into the lives of others.
