Blessing Empowerment of Avalokiteshvara

Sunday 30 October 2022
11.00am – 3.30pm

Who is Buddha Avalokiteshvara?:  Buddha Avalokiteshvara is the embodiment of the compassion of all enlightened beings. Through sincerely engaging in Buddha Avalokiteshvara’s short meditation practice we can gradually awaken our compassionate Buddha nature. We can solve our own daily problems by controlling our desirous attachment, anger and ignorance, and then from this state we can bring so much extraordinary benefit to our family, our community and our world.

What is an Empowerment?: An Empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we make a special, heart-felt connection with a particular Buddha and receive their inspiration. The enlightened mind is said to be like a boundless deep ocean, every drop of which has the power to bring inner peace to living beings. Receiving an Empowerment is a means of connecting with this expansive potential inside our own mind, giving us the energy and wisdom to begin to realise our own Buddha nature. Everyone is welcome to attend!

An empowerment bestows upon us special blessings that heal our mental continuum and awaken our Buddha nature.”

~ Mahamudra Tantra by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
