Meditation: Beginning and Improving

A short series of classes designed to get you started with meditation practice, and to encourage you to keep going. Suitable for all levels of experience.

These meditation classes are suitable for everyone. They are taught by experienced meditation teacher Sue Leeks and give a practical introduction to meditation and include topics such as the benefits of meditation, good posture, types of meditation and how to start a daily meditation practice. Advice is also given on how to remain peaceful in daily life by applying the meditation techniques explained in these classes. Please feel free to drop in on a class-by-class basis.

No special clothing is required with chairs and cushions provided for your comfort.

If the winter blues are getting you down, come to this short series of classes and discover how Buddhist meditation can help you to see things in a more positive way. We will focus on uplifting meditations that will benefit both ourselves and those around us.

Parking

Please can we ask, out of kindness to our neighbours, that cars are not parked in Woodbyth Road or Southlands Avenue (either side of the Centre.) You may park in our drive (please double-park if necessary) and there is plenty of on-road parking further along Dogsthorpe Road or in Exeter Road, Cecil Road and Brownlow Road. If you have mobility difficulties please let us know in advance and we can make arrangements for you to park in the drive. Thank you for your understanding.
