Coping with Pain: How to live a happy life

Living with chronic pain can be debilitating, depressing and cause us to feel overwhelmed and out of control. On this course we will learn meditation techniques to help us to accept, cope with and reduce pain. We will see how, by training our mind, we can live a meaningful and positive life and be content, happy and peaceful.

Course Format

10.15-10.30am: Registration
10.30-11.30am: Session 1
Break – there is a cafe at the Centre
12.00-1pm: Session 2

Each session includes a practical talk with advice on coping with pain as well as two guided meditations.

Everyone is welcome and no experience is needed.


With experienced Meditation Teacher Sue Gunn who has lived with chronic pain since childhood and has been practising meditation for over 7 years

There are several nearby car parks, but please allow plenty of time to park.

The basement room has disabled access and there is a fully accessible toilet nearby. There is a lift in the foyer and please enquire at reception if you require assistance.

Seating will be on conference-style chairs and you are welcome to bring any equipment with you to make yourself more comfortable. Please contact us if you would like further help or advice.
