Treat yourself to an afternoon away from it all with this light and inspiring course. Enjoy meditations, guided by a western Buddhist nun and experienced meditation teacher, designed to bring about an experience of peace and well-being from within.

Coping with Pain – how to live a happy life

Sunday 14 October  ​2.30-5.00pm

Living with chronic pain can be debilitating, depressing and cause us to feel overwhelmed and out of control. On this course we will learn meditation techniques to help us to accept, cope with and reduce pain. We will see how, by training our mind, we can live a meaningful and positive life and be content, happy and peaceful.

The course comprises two one-hour sessions with a tea break and an opportunity to chat and ask questions.

Everyone is welcome. Seating will be on conference-style chairs and you are welcome to bring any equipment with you to make yourself more comfortable.

The venue has disabled access, fully accessible toilet and disabled parking close by. Please contact us if you would like further help or advice.

About the teacher: Sue has lived with chronic pain since childhood and has been practising meditation for over 7 years.

General information

Everyone is welcome to attend and no experience of meditation is needed. The courses comprise two one-hour sessions with a coffee/tea break and a chance to ask questions and browse our bookshop.

Resident Teacher: Kelsang Rak-ma is an English Buddhist nun with over 16 years experience of teaching meditation.
