PLEASE NOTE: Classes will now be held in the Burley Room on the First Floor at Stamford Arts Centre. We are delighted to be able to offer these lovely improved facilities for our Meditation Classes and we look forward to welcoming you.

Meditation: Beginning and Improving

A short series of classes designed to get you started with meditation practice, and to encourage you to keep going. Suitable for all levels of experience.

These meditation classes are suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience of meditation. They give a practical introduction to meditation and include topics such as the benefits of meditation, mindfulness, good posture, types of meditation, and how to start a daily meditation practice. Advice is also given on how to remain peaceful in daily life by applying the meditation techniques explained in these classes.

Please feel free to drop in on a class-by-class basis. See below for dates. No special clothing is required with chairs provided for your comfort.
