Peace and Calm

June 11  ¦  7.00 – 8.00pm

2020 has been an uncertain and challenging time so far, and with the current virus outbreak, it is more important than ever for us to look after our mental as well as physical well-being.

Join us online for guided meditations and brief talks that can enable us to enjoy some inner peace and stillness, and learn tried and tested ways to keep a positive mind. There will also be suggestions of how to start and maintain an easy daily meditation practice, if you wish. Everyone welcome.

Booking will be open until 30 minutes before the start of the class

To ensure a peaceful environment for all participants, the class will be closed to new arrivals shortly after the advertised start time.

Refunds will not be given in this instance

June 18, 25  ¦  July 2, 9, 16

Booking will be available weekly

These classes are for people who are connected with Drolma Buddhist Centre living in and around Peterborough. This includes our branch classes at Boston, Crowland, Ely, Huntingdon, March, Spalding and Stamford and people in those areas. If this does not apply to you, then please contact your local Kadampa Centre for details.

You will receive a link to the live streamed class when you complete your booking. You will also receive a reminder 1 hour before the class starts.

Download the ZOOM app onto whichever device you will be using (laptop, tablet or mobile) so you are ready to view the live stream. For information about joining the webinar please click HOW TO BOOK AND JOIN A CLASS WEBINAR.

Please click on the link 10 minutes before the class is due to start and you will be taken to the live streamed class. This is to enable us to help you with any connection issues you may have in time for the start of the class

Please make sure you have a set-up that works to connect to live streaming video.

Our recommendations are:

Use a computer/laptop if possible. Some webinar features may not be available to you if you are using a tablet or mobile.

Close all other windows, tabs and apps that are running.

Use a good and stable internet connection, preferably wired.

It is also recommended that you reduce the amount of people streaming or gaming in your household for the duration of the class.

If using your phone, try to use wi-fi so that you don’t run out of data in your plan (video consumes a lot of data)

Please find a comfortable and quiet place that you consider special in your home or room.

Prepare yourself before the class begins by turning off your phone, avoiding distractions, making sure you can focus on the teaching for its duration (normally approximately one hour).

Have a notebook to write down some of the key points of the teaching that you want to remember and integrate in your life.
