New 5-week meditation course with Resident Teacher and Buddhist nun Kelsang Malaya.

On this course we will follow a series of powerful meditations where we will learn practical tools:

  •   To motivate ourself to meditate and find benefit in our daily lives
  •   To develop a regular practice making our meditations effortless
  •   To give a powerful boost to our meditations and enrich our mind
  •   To reduce our obstacles and make our meditations successful
  •   To tame our mind and make our life truly meaningful

WEEKLY CLASS TOPICS

25 February: Motivate Yourself to Meditate

We shall look at the benefits of meditation to develop a strong wish to engage in daily practice and thereby experience a peaceful, calm, controlled mind. Eventually we shall be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.

 

4 March: Generate the Force of Familiarity

Learn to master the basic steps of meditation – as we practise on a regular basis they gradually become effortless and natural.

 

11 March: Increase the Power of Your Meditations

If we learn how to enrich our mind through meditation, we will have no difficulty in fulfilling our wishes.

 

18 March: Destroy the Main Obstacle to Successful Meditation

To make progress with our meditations we need to use the force of destruction to recognise, reduce and abandon the inner and outer obstacle to successful meditation.

 

25 March: Meditation and Mental Actions

Learn tried and trusted methods to attaining our goal to tame our mind and accomplish something meaningful with our life.

During the class we will be using The Liberating Prayer. Printed copies can be purchased at THARPA UK where you can also find many other resources such as books, CDs, images and downloads to help you in your meditation practice.

You will receive a link and the password 1 hour before the class starts and another reminder 10 minutes before.

SPIRITUAL ADVICE

Please find a comfortable and quiet place that you consider special in your home or room.

Prepare yourself before the class begins by turning off your phone, avoiding distractions, making sure you can focus on the teaching for its duration (normally approximately one hour).

Have a notebook to write down some of the key points of the teaching that you want to remember and integrate in your life.
