We all want to be happy! Despite this wish, our problems, fears and frustrations often seem to take center stage in our mind. Discover where happiness comes from and how it can be developed. By gaining control of our mind we allow it to return to its true nature: positive, peaceful and calm. In this way we can remain happy and untroubled even in the most difficult circumstances.

Everyone is welcome and no experience of meditation is needed

Thursday 13 May: Everybody Hurts, Sometimes

Many people have the compassionate wish to benefit others, but few understand how to accomplish this effectively in daily life. Bodhisattvas are friends of the world who have such strong compassion they are able to transform all their daily activities into a means to benefit others.

Thursday 20 May: Imagine

It is a remarkable quality of the mind, that we first create objects with our imagination and then bring them into our everyday reality. In fact everything starts in the imagination. Learn how to use imagination wisely.

During the class we will be using The Liberating Prayer. Printed copies can be purchased at THARPA UK where you can also find many other resources such as books, CDs, images and downloads to help you in your meditation practice.

Please find a comfortable and quiet place that you consider special in your home or room.

Prepare yourself before the class begins by turning off your phone, avoiding distractions, making sure you can focus on the teaching for its duration (normally approximately one hour).

Have a notebook to write down some of the key points of the teaching that you want to remember and integrate in your life.
